This course includes 480 hours of work-integrated learning composed of work placement and an industry research project. Students are required to formulate and execute a research project related to the needs of industry, working in collaboration with an academic supervisor and an industry mentee.

Career Outcomes
The Master of Construction Practice holds in principal support for accreditation with the Australian Institute of Building (AIB). Graduates from the Master of Construction Practice will be eligible to apply for membership of the AIB.

Entry requirements
To meet admission requirements, applicants must have one of:
- An Australian bachelor degree (equivalent or higher) in a related discipline which includes architecture, building science, civil or construction or structural or mechanical or architecture engineering, quantity surveying and construction project management; OR,
- An Australian bachelor degree (equivalent or higher) in an unrelated discipline and at least 2 years full-time work experience in the building and construction industry.
Applicants who do not meet the above requirements can consider the Graduate Certificate of Construction Practice as a pathway to Master of Construction Practice.
Language requirements
English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this course are as follows

Course requirements
To be eligible to receive the Master of Construction Practice, students must complete the equivalent of 16 units (192 credit points), comprising:

14 core units (192 credit points)
Students may be eligible to exit with the Graduate Certificate in Construction Practice after completing the equivalent of 4 units (48 credit points), comprising 4 core units as specified in the Graduate Certificate in Construction Practice.
