Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
interpret and apply relevant building legislation, codes, and regulatory frameworks to assess compliance across diverse building construction scenarios.
analyse legal case scenarios to identify statutory obligations, dispute resolution mechanisms, and implications for the construction professional.
critically evaluate building policy instruments and legislative reforms in relation to industry practice, governance, and public interest.
reflect on and justify ethical responsibilities and professional standards within the building construction management industry.
