Offered at the University’s Hotel School, the Diploma of Global Hotel Management introduces students to the essential operations and management foundations of the hotel and hospitality industry.
Whether you are already working in the hotel sector or looking to make a career change, this course develops practical skills in accommodation operations, food and beverage service, marketing and communication to prepare graduates for a dynamic career in a global industry.
The course is a direct pathway to the Associate Degree of Global Hotel Management and the Bachelor of Global Hotel and Tourism Management.
This course is offered at The Hotel School campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
All applicants for the Diploma of Global Hotel Management are selected on their individual merit. While recent academic performance or professional experience is used as an indicator of ability to undertake studies at a tertiary level, applicants will also be invited to an interview as part of the final application process.

Entry requirements
For admission to the course, applicants must have:
- Successfully completed Australian Year 12 (or equivalent) OR a minimum two years’ relevant experience within a hospitality or related industry setting; and,
- Submit and pass an online questionnaire before admission to the course. The questionnaire will assess industry fit, motivation, and appropriate course placement in a professionally oriented discipline.
Language requirements
English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this course are as follows
