Overview

The Graduate Certificate in International Tourism and Hotel Management covers four units of the Master of International Tourism and Hotel Management, from topics including but not limited to employee relations, event planning and management, financial analysis, gaming operations, destination marketing, and tourism and hospitality management. 

The Graduate Certificate in International Tourism and Hotel Management is a pathway award. Students who complete the Graduate Certificate are awarded four units of advanced standing towards the Master of International Tourism and Hotel Management.

Entry requirements

Applicants for admission to candidature in the Graduate Certificate in International Tourism and Hotel Management may be selected where the applicant can demonstrate academic or professional standing considered by the School Board to be equivalent to the requirements of Rule 2 Section 3 of the University’s Rules Relating to Awards.

Credit for prior learning

Candidates for the Graduate Certificate of Tourism and Hotel Management may be granted advanced standing on the basis of relevant work experience or professional qualifications obtained through formal, non-formal or informal learning.

Course requirements

  1. To be eligible for the award of Graduate Certificate in International Tourism and Hotel Management a candidate shall successfully complete not less than four (4) units (48 credit points) comprising:
    1. two (2) units from Part A; and
    2. two (2) units from Part B.
