Overview
Are you interested in a career in health where you can make a difference every day? The Undergraduate Certificate in Allied Health is an excellent place to start.
This short course is a pathway to further study at Southern Cross University in the Allied Health professions.
It aims to prepare students for Diploma and subsequent Bachelor level studies, combining developmental College units with introductory units from the relevant programs.
Graduates of the Undergraduate Certificate in Allied Health will be eligible for entry with up to four units of credit towards the Diploma of Health (Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Osteopathic Studies, Nursing, Sport and Exercise Science or Biomedical specialisation). Upon successful completion of the additional units in the Diploma, students will be eligible for entry and up to one year of advanced standing towards a number of linked Bachelor degrees in Allied Health.

Entry requirements
Applicants for admission to candidature to the Undergraduate Certificate in Allied Health must have an assessable entry qualification from a country where English is the main language and where the medium of instruction for that qualification was English, or have completed an International English Language Test (or comparable test scores*) with:
- a minimum overall score of 5.5 and a minimum score of 5.0 in each subtest (or comparable test scores*), except for writing with a minimum score of 5.5
Course requirements
To be eligible to receive the Undergraduate Certificate in Allied Health, students must complete 4 units (48 credit points), comprising:
- 3 core units (36 credit points) and
- 1 option unit (12 credit points)
