Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
develop an understanding of reasoning and critical reflection, especially with regards to the history and principles of osteopathic medicine
demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the principles of osteopathic medicine, particularly in relation to a holistic health paradigm
explain the context of osteopathic medicine in the Australian and international health sectors
demonstrate and explain the basic concepts of osteopathic diagnosis
demonstrate and reflect upon safe and effective basic soft tissue skills and body handling
