The Master of Education consists of compulsory units and a specialisation of your choice. Select one of three specialisations: Educational Leadership, Educational Wellbeing or Educational Research with a curriculum tailored to your interest.

Entry requirements

The minimum entry requirement for this course is:

  • a  four year Bachelor degree in Education from any Australian University, or equivalent, or
  • an undergraduate degree and a fourth-year level teaching qualification from any Australian university, or equivalent.

Course requirements

  1. To be eligible for the award of Master of Education a candidate must successfully complete eight (8) units (96 credit points), comprising:
    1. All units listed in Part A; and
    2. one (1) four (4) unit specialisation from Part B of the Schedule of Units attached to these Rules.
  2. a candidate who, while enrolled in the Master of Education, has successfully completed not less than four (4) units (48 credit points) being all units in Part A of the Schedule attached to these Rules, may elect to be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Education, following withdrawal from candidature for the Masters’ degree.
