Overview

This unique five-year double degree provides graduates with a clear professional pathway to become a legal practitioner with a thorough understanding of human psychological factors.

The course offers a flexible mix of units both online and on-campus, with psychology units delivered on-campus in Coffs Harbour and law units delivered on-campus in Lismore and the Gold Coast.

A compulsory three-day workshop gives students a unique opportunity to learn from key representatives of the legal profession, while the option of professional placement during their studies provides vital insight into career opportunities and professional networks.

Law students can undertake voluntary legal experience and professional placement with legal firms or offices to build their practical legal skills and develop their professional networks.

Career Outcomes

This degree is designed to fulfil the academic requirements for admission to the legal profession. Professional admission authorities also require law graduates of all universities to complete practical legal training or similar to practise as a lawyer.

Course requirements

To be eligible to receive the Bachelor of Psychological Science, Bachelor of Laws, students must complete 480 credit points, comprising:

  • 32 core units; and
  • 96 credit points in Law electives.
