Whether your passion is in the social sciences, culture and politics or in the creative arts, the Associate Degree of Arts offered through SCU College will give you the confidence to take your study one step at a time towards a clear pathway to your future.
SCU College understands that learners have diverse experiences and ways of learning. The College supports your study success and connects you to your peers through additional workshops to assist you develop academic and study skills.
The Associate Degree of Arts is very a flexible degree offering online and on-campus classes to help you fit study in to the rest of your life. Students develop a strong grounding in the humanities and will be prepared for further study in a Bachelor degree as well as for careers in a range of settings including in community relations, policy, design, and in the creative industries.
Graduates of the Associate Degree of Arts are guaranteed entry and up to two years of credit towards a Bachelor of Arts.

The Associate Degree of Arts includes core studies in the humanities with electives from two study streams: society and culture; and the creative arts.

Course requirements

To be awarded the Associate Degree of Arts a student will be required to successfully complete the equivalent of sixteen (16) units (192 credit points) comprising:
- All six (6) units listed in Part A; and
- Any ten (10) units from Part B from either stream subject to pre-requisites.
- A student who has completed the equivalent of eight (8) units (96 credit points) may elect to be awarded a Diploma of Arts following withdrawal from candidature from the Associate Degree of Arts.
