Unit aim

Builds on skills and knowledge gained in Social Work Direct Practice I. Examines effective communication within specific contexts and modes of practice, including crisis intervention, relationship counselling and family therapy. Develops skills in writing for social work practice.

3 demonstrate effective communication skills in working with involuntary clients and their partners or families
4 demonstrate effective written communication skills for social work practice in a range of settings.
