Uses a case-study approach to develop student’s knowledge of a range of tourist behaviours at key stages in the travel experience.
Module 1: Conceptualising the tourist within contemporary society
Module 2: Motivation, expectations and satisfaction
Module 3: Destination decision-making and destination image
Module 4: Embodiment: Gender and disability in tourism
Module 5: Tourist behaviours: Sightseeing, photography and shopping
Module 6: Synthesis: Tourist behaviour in theory and practice
