Unit aim
Provides students with the opportunity to build on knowledge and skills developed in Professional Experience I through further classroom teaching experience as well as through the development of an understanding of what it means to be an effective and competent teacher. The New South Wales Quality Teaching Framework and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers underpin this unit. Students will apply effective teaching frameworks to their own classroom practice.
Unit content
Module 1: Introduction to effective teaching frameworks
Introduces students to the New South Wales Quality Teaching (NSWQT) Framework and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. These frameworks provide guidelines and reflective tools for teachers to improve practices.

Module 3: Practicum
Students will undertake 25-30 days of practicum depending on their course. The first five visits will be observation.
