Unit aim

This capstone unit will provide students opportunity to demonstrate and extend knowledge and skills and their application to clinical case studies that present aspects of complexity in relation to range of practice coverage, ethical considerations, inter-professional management, and other service delivery factors. 

Unit content

Scheduled learning activities will focus on case-based discussions informed by clinical cases that students may have experienced while on clinical placements in addition to areas of practice where students have yet to attain evidence to support Entry level competence in relation to Competency-Based Occupational Standards of Speech Pathology (CBOS, 2011) . These case-based discussions will be used as the foundation for the development of case studies that will form the basis of unit assessment tasks.

3 demonstrate entry levels skills in the implementation of speech pathology assessment and/or intervention
4 compile a portfolio of evidence to support claims for entry level competency in relation to the Competency-Based Occupational Standards of Speech Pathology (CBOS, 2011)
