Unit aim
Enables students to appraise evidence and apply it to speech pathology assessment and intervention practices, using principles of evidence-based practice. The application of these principles to the range indicators of paediatric speech and language will enable students to develop the foundational skills to apply these skills to the remaining indicators later in the course. Students will gain skills in the use of speech pathology management tools. They will also develop the life-long skills of accessing relevant research, appraising its practical value and methodological rigour, and applying research findings to practice.
