Unit aim

Enables students to appraise evidence and apply it to speech pathology assessment and intervention practices, using principles of evidence-based practice. The application of these principles to two of the six discipline practice areas - range indicators - paediatric speech and language, will enable students to develop these skills for broader application. Students will gain skills in the use of speech pathology management tools. They will also develop the life-long skills of accessing relevant research, appraising its practical value and methodological rigour, and applying research findings to practice.
