Unit aim
Introduces students to speech pathology assessment and interventions for children with speech, language and communication needs of a developmental nature. Students will become familiar with assessment and intervention methods that are relevant to speech pathology practice in Australia. Students will develop skills in analysing and interpreting data and planning interventions.
Unit content
Children with speech, language and communication needs of a developmental nature: description, incidence, prevalence, risk and protective factors. Professional practices of assessment, analysis and interpretation, and intervention.
