Unit aim

Introduces students to recent theories of human development and childhood trauma through group exercises and activities, supported by informed presentations and discussions. The teaching methods employed support students to identify the short and long-term consequences of childhood trauma. Various therapeutical responses are examined and explored, in relation to addressing the effects of childhood traumatisation.
