Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

1 engage in cultural analysis in the study of moving pictures and identify the philosophical views being expressed
2 relate key issues and debates in philosophy to their intellectual and cultural contexts
3 critically engage with contemporary contexts and issues in the media using debates in philosophy
4 clearly and concisely articulate different philosophical views and arguments in writing
5 engage in constructive discussion relating to philosophical debates.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
