Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

1 critically analyse social practices that incorporate the use of computers, the Internet and social media technologies
2 explore the relationship between online and offline personal identities and the impact this may have for society
3 articulate the ethical and political implications of Web 2.00 technologies for individuals, their communities, the government and business
4 use asynchronous (discussion board, Twitter, blogs, email discussion lists) means of communicating online
5 recognise and examine socio-technic systems evidencing new forms of social organisation using Web 2.0 technologies.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
