Unit aim

Represents the second stage of the research project commenced in the unit Planning Thesis I. This stage
involves conducting the investigation into the formulated project, and documenting the results and conclusions in a thesis. It introduces students to the nature of research and assesses their ability to undertake research and present the results in both written and oral formats.

1 use information and methodologies developed in Planning Thesis I in the development of a project.
2 conduct a research project in a manner that produces acceptable research outcomes, with appropriate project design, integration and management concepts.
3 implement a developed research plan, modifying the plan as required with interim research results, and consistent with the time and resources available.
4 assemble, critically analyse and evaluate research results.
5 communicate research project outcomes in a written report as well as verbally to audiences at different levels and backgrounds.
