Unit aim
Introduces students to the fundamentals of community engagement and the practical application of engagement methods in a professional context. The unit examines design of engagement programs, principles of program delivery, engagement methods and techniques and evaluation in a land use planning context. This unit includes a community engaged learning component to support the development of practical skills for professional application.

Topic 2: Community Engagement and Decision Making in Planning.
Topic 3: Program Design and Principles.
Topic 4: Community Engagement Techniques and Their Application.
Topic 5: Evaluation and Interpreting Outputs and Feedback.
Learning outcomes
