Introduces students to the Podiatry and Pedorthics professions, including the history, development, roles and responsibilities of each profession in the context of the healthcare system. Students are introduced to the International Classification of Functioning framework and its relationship with mobility disorders.

Topic 1: History and evolution of the Podiatry and Pedorthic professions
Topic 2: Roles of the Podiatrist and Pedorthist in the broader healthcare system, case study analysis and development
Topic 3: Development and maintenance of mobility across the lifespan
Topic 4: Impact of mobility disorders within the International Classification of Functioning framework
Topic 5: Disorders of gait and mobility
Topic 6: Introduction to professional clinical behaviour through observational clinical placement
Topic 7: Understanding Evidence Based Practice
