Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

1 demonstrate skills in taking a full patient case history at an intermediate student practitioner level in an evidence-based context
2 perform a full patient physical examination in an evidence-based context at the level of an intermediate student practitioner level
3 implement and explain the diagnostic process at the level of an intermediate student practitioner level
4 develop and explain a management plan, including for chronic pain and neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation and commence a safe, rational and evidence-based series of osteopathic treatments
5 demonstrate professional behaviour and attitudes, including efficient time management and recording skills
6 critically reflect on the patient’s experience of osteopathic practice
7 work collaboratively within a team on a research project: critically analysing relevant literature and aligning methodology to research questions
