Unit aim
Further integrates the osteopathic principles into the diagnostic and management processes by the teaching of advanced skills and techniques for all regions of the body, particularly in aged care, rehabilitation and chronic pain cases. Building on the understanding and competencies gained in Osteopathic Studies I-VII students will further develop osteopathic diagnostic and treatment technique skills, and further develop their critical appraisal of traditional techniques in the context of evidence-informed practice. These skills will be utilised in the development of a patient management plan, including treatment and exercise prescription.
