Unit description

Examines the impact of occupational performance limitations on productivity and employment due to physical, cognitive and psychosocial impairments and environmental constraints. Provides the opportunity to develop skills in methods used to assess, maintain, restore and enhance productivity roles.

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

explain and apply the process of occupational choice

analyse and evaluate productivity occupations

evaluate the effects of physical, psychosocial and cognitive impairment on performance in paid and unpaid productivity occupations

plan and apply intervention strategies appropriate to paid and unpaid productivity occupations

plan therapeutic interventions to facilitate functional performance in productivity considering lifespan development, within a multicultural environment.
