Unit aim

Provides an overview of Nursing in the Australian context focusing on the health care system and the factors which influence the way it functions. Historical, socio-political and cultural factors will be presented to develop critical awareness of how these factors influence nursing, health care delivery, systems, services, and the health care workforce.
