Integrates, applies, consolidates and extends knowledge, skills and behaviours developed throughout the course in a 170-hour professional experience placement undertaken in a real-life primary care setting, as well as a geographically and/or culturally diverse setting.

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

adapt attitude, behaviour, consultation, dialogue and environmental elements of the rapport process to primary and culturally/geographically distinct healthcare settings

use appropriate assessment techniques and diagnostic reasoning pertinent to primary and culturally/geographically distinct healthcare settings

plan and deliver safe and evidence-based naturopathic medicine therapeutics as applicable to primary and culturally/geographically distinct healthcare settings

apply the review process by reassessing patient progress, reflecting on one's practice and referring the patient where appropriate within primary and culturally/geographically distinct healthcare settings
