Unit aim
Examine a range of research methodologies that can be undertaken in naturopathic clinical practice. These methods include case studies, case series, clinical audits, n=1 studies, practice-based surveys and whole-system research. This unit will provide an overview and the strengths and limitations of each of these methods and provide a starting point for the learner to apply these methodologies in their clinic.

Topic 1: Overview of practice-based research
Topic 2: Identifying appropriate outcome measures
Topic 3: Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and research ethics
Topic 4: Case studies, case series and clinical audits
Topic 5: N=1 studies, Single Case Experimental Designs (SCED) and practice-based surveys
Topic 6: Whole systems research
Learning outcomes
