Unit aim

Strengthens intermediate level skills and knowledge in relation to collaborative music making practices, arrangement, music performance and recording. Students rehearse and record with a small ensemble and participate in practical sessions focused on arranging for strings, horns and electronic sound sources.

  • Intermediate level ensemble rehearsal, performance and recording practices
     
  • Recording studio preproduction, etiquette and protocols
     
  • Writing and arrangement techniques for strings and horns
     
  • Writing and arrangement techniques for synthesisers, samples and effects
