Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

1 demonstrate an understanding of specific sound reinforcement and amplification theory
2 demonstrate an ability to operate various hardware and software found in the live sound environment
3 demonstrate a understanding of the safe operation of sound reinforcement and amplification equipment
4 demonstrate an understanding of the use of specific sound reinforcement and amplification systems
5 demonstrate competency in the setting up and operation of a concert live sound system including the stage, fold-back and front of house audio equipment
6 demonstrate an understanding of pre-production planning and management in relation to audio projects that use sound reinforcement and amplification systems.
