Unit aim

Provides students with a range of historical, cross-cultural and indigenous perspectives relating to the development of global music cultures. It examines the roles of music within different societies, and promotes an understanding of the dynamics of global musical cultures through the development of research frameworks for cross-cultural musical comparisons.
