Develops fundamental skills in the aural perception of music, through listening, sight reading, performing, and transcribing. These skills are developed through the study of form, rhythm, melody, harmony and timbre in patterns and contexts common to contemporary music.

5 transcribe simple songs and notate a lead chart
6 recognise popular instrumental vocal timbres, textures, forms and structures used in contemporary music
7 apply fundamental aural skills in rhythmic, melodic and harmonic perception to the understanding, interpretation and performance of simple contemporary music repertoire and practice.
