Unit aim

Enables students to undertake analysis of a business, industry or social problem or opportunity at a substantially independent level in this (Part A) capstone research unit. Through learning, developing and applying an evidence-based research design, students create an industry-accessible publication that reports on the research process and elaborates on the business solutions and/or research implications.

Unit content

Part A of the Industry Research Project Unit enables students to design a research project. The project is executed and completed in Part B of Industry Research Project. The topics covered in Part A include:

  • What is industry research? 
  • Identifying problems for research
  • Reviewing literature to inform research approach
  • Designing a research project
  • Developing Quantitative Research Tools
  • Developing Qualitative Research Tools
