Unit aim

Introduces students to theories and practices of contemporary leadership and management in a global setting. Various leadership styles will be canvassed and applied reflexively in developing students own approach to leading and managing, as two separate but interrelated skill sets.

1 Critically assess leadership styles, management skills, communications skills and ethical decision-making, both personally and in a range of workplace contexts
2 Apply individual and team working skills, as well as contemporary knowledge, concepts and models, to progressing organisational goals.

4 Demonstrate an ability to engage in continuous reflection and learning and to apply that reflexivity in students own practice as leaders and managers.
