Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

2 Demonstrate knowledge of the basic skills and processes of administration and management.
3 Discuss the main components of human resources management and its application in sport, recreation and fitness organisations.
4 Identify major considerations involved in planning and managing facilities, events and programs.
5 Describe the scope, significance and unique features of the sport, recreation and fitness industry or the surfing industry.
6 Discuss ethical considerations relating to the management of sport, recreation and fitness organisations and programs.
