Level of learning
Supports the development of applied research and scientific communication skills for students completing an honours degree in psychology. The nature and limitations of psychological research and its application in the scientist-practitioner model are discussed. Students will reflect on, and critically evaluate, their own research practices. A variety of methodological practices suitable for applied research in psychological practice will be described. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of good data management practices and the ethical imperatives applying to research forming the scientific foundations of practice in psychology.
