Unit aim
Examines the theory and spirit of mediation and the practical application of mediation skills. Student will examine the techniques to help resolve disputes and build the knowledge, skills and ethical practice required to meet the training component of the National Mediator Accreditation Standards (NMAS). Through reflective practice and roleplay simulations, students will examine the role of the mediator in the NMAS facilitative model and be required to display a practical application of various mediation skills required to respond to a range of disputes.
