Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

1 outline the major approaches to conflict resolution;
2 determine which method of dispute resolution is appropriate to selected types of conflict situations;
3 recognise and apply a number of strategies for overcoming negotiation barriers;
4 demonstrate the basic skills of a mediator;
5 demonstrate the ethical and legal requirements of a mediator.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
