Unit aim

Explores the application of equal employment opportunity and workplace health and safety legislation to the workplace. Students gain a working knowledge of EEO and work health and safety principles, the practice of these laws in the workplace and their importance in creating a healthy, safe and non-discriminatory workplace culture.

4 recognise health and safety risks at work;
5 apply accurately and evaluate the legal principles related to work health and safety and workers compensation, as enacted in NSW laws in legislation and case law.
