Unit aim
Designed to build on the foundations of Modern Standard Chinese (Mandarin) established in Chinese Language IA and IB. Speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in Chinese are further developed, as are students’ skills and strategies as a language learner. The socio-cultural context and various aspects of Chinese culture, customs and society are introduced.

Learning outcomes
