Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
1 discuss and assess existing concepts and technologies that underlie the design, implementation and management of Internet-based information systems
2 design and implement scalable and secured Internet-based information systems for a Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) using modern Internet technologies
3 identify and propose solutions to the issues related to managing and securing Internet-based data ecosystems
4 evaluate the effect of Big Data and pervasive computing on business from a data and security management perspective
5 conduct research and critically evaluate recent advances in Internet-based data and security technologies
