MGMT1001 - Managing Organisations AND 36 credit points in any SCU units
Unit aim
Develops students' understanding of the building blocks of effective stakeholder management - an understanding that is imperative for developing effective relationships with suppliers, shareholders, clients and other stakeholders.
Unit content
Module 1: What is a stakeholder?
Module 2: What theories and models inform how we manage stakeholders?
Module 3: How do communication theory and practices affect the different motivations of stakeholders?
Module 4: How do motivation theories inform how stakeholders behave?
Module 5: What theories and practices can be used to resolve stakeholder conflicts?
Module 6: How are communication and negotiation theories and practices used to resolve conflicts amongst stakeholders?
