Unit description

Assists students to reflect, at a higher level, on the relationship between their academic studies and the workplace environment, by providing a minimum 300 hours of practical workplace experience over a further 10 week period following successful completion of Industry Internship A.

Unit content

Students have the opportunity to complete an extended internship within an appropriate hospitality organisation, in Australia or overseas. In most cases, Industry Internship B will be completed in the same organisations as was chosen for Industry Internship B.

Industry Internship B may only be taken after successful completion of Industry Internship A to form a 600-hour 20-week placement across the 2 units. Unit Assessor approval is required for both Internship units.
