Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

1 differentiate between motor skill, motor ability and motor performance
2 conduct and interpret results of tests for the measurement of motor performance
3 describe in detail and explain the role of cognitive, environmental and task variables in the learning of motor skills
4 describe in detail the various phases of skill learning in motor performance
5 demonstrate competence in searching and interpreting the research literature in motor learning and control
6 effectively plan for teaching and evaluation of motor skills, including the strategic use of demonstration, instruction, practice, feedback and evaluation.
