Unit aim
Provides students with a systematic approach to developing a strategy for entry into the employment marketplace. In particular, attention is focused on understanding the needs of employers in the sport, health and fitness industries and on communicating to secure a job. In this unit students will actively seek and undertake the equivalent of a three-week full-time internship with a public, community, or private enterprise organisation in order to obtain practical on-the-job experiences - while providing a beneficial and worthwhile opportunity for the host organisation.

Topic 4: Understanding application and selection processes - writing effective job applications and résumés
