Unit aim
An examination of change within health or social care settings.
Enables participants to evaluate, examine and critically reflect on leadership knowledge and apply those capabilities to leading innovation within health and social care settings. Participants use a fusion of evidenced based approaches, intra-personal and inter-personal capabilities to evaluate innovative practices within their continually changing workplace.
Unit content
Topic 1: Contexts and mechanisms influencing innovation
Topic 2: Strategic policy impacting upon operational implementation of innovation within clinical environments
Topic 3: Exploration of leading self and others through a range of leadership models
Topic 4: Psychological constructs influencing implementation of innovation
Topic 5: Applying principles of evidence and evaluation to support innovative change within clinical settings
Topic 6: Formulating professional development plans for developing and maintaining capabilities to lead innovative change within clinical environments.
