Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
1 demonstrate an understanding of the structural organisation of the human body from cellular to the system level
2 describe the inter-relationships of structure and function of selected systems of the human body
3 demonstrate an ability to identify body structures at microscopic and gross levels.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

  1. demonstrate an understanding of the structural organisation of the human body from cellular to the system level
  2. describe the inter-relationships of structure and function of selected systems of the human body
  3. demonstrate an ability to identify body structures at microscopic and gross levels.

Prescribed texts

  • This refers to the hard copy (an eText is available - see info in ‘Req online resources’). I packaged the hardcopy with access to the publisher’s online resources, called ‘Mastering A&P’.
