Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to: | GA1 | GA2 | GA3 | GA4 | GA5 | GA6 | GA7 | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | display an understanding of the linkages between land use and transport systems. | |||||||
2 | demonstrate an awareness of sustainable transport and how to assess environmental and community impacts. | |||||||
3 | understand the planning and design processes required in providing transport infrastructure. | |||||||
4 | identify, formulate and solve transport related problems, and evaluate solutions against technical, environmental, economic and social criteria. | |||||||
5 | demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team through the planning and implementation of a group project. | |||||||
6 | use both written and oral formats to reflect on and explain ideas, concepts and processes to targeted audiences. | |||||||
7 | have a full appreciation of the professional and ethical responsibilities involved in transport engineering including associated social, economic and environmental issues. |
