Unit aim

Concepts of sustainability, risk management, contextual thinking and mind mapping are covered. In addition, fundamental concepts of the engineering design process and design philosophy are introduced. A core aspect of the unit is introducing students to the Engineers Australia stage 1 competencies and the use of reflective writing to demonstrate the development of these competencies over time.
