Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

2 explain the importance of storytelling in the classroom for the imaginative, personal and moral development of children
3 create a personal narrative to explore digital storytelling
4 clarify that stories from different cultures have the capacity to engender cross-cultural understanding and respect
5 choose and tell different kinds of stories from many cultures and literature sources
6 use different techniques in learning and telling stories for different audiences
7 practice storytelling and critically assess the 'power of story' as a teaching and learning tool.
